As we approach 57 years since the march across Edmund Pettus bridge, we are faced with the haunting reality that the forces that stood against equal voting rights are still at work. These same forces are not only opposing equal voting rights for all but are also oppressing living wages, denying universal healthcare, rejecting ecological restoration, cutting care for our children, withholding rights for the immigrant, funding the war economy, and more. We refuse to let these forces of evil have the last say in this fight for justice.
