This Sunday, 5/30 at Freedom Church of the Poor, Dr. Tejai Beulah and Jacob Butterly (PPF! PA) lead us in reflecting on how the structures of our society exclude and condemn certain expressions of the body that don’t conform to and benefit the system.

On June 7th, state coordinating committees of the Poor People’s Campaign will hold simultaneous actions at the offices of members of the US House of Representatives to demand all of their Representatives embrace The Third Reconstruction.

On June 21, 2021, poor people, low-wage workers, moral and faith leaders and advocates will gather online simultaneously with a socially-distant rally at the North Carolina General Assembly in Raleigh, NC for a National Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers Assembly.

Join the West Virginia and Kentucky Poor People’s Campaigns in Washington, DC on Wednesday, June 23rd at 1pm for a Moral March on Manchin and McConnell, as we stand against voter suppression, the filibuster, and political retrogression.

Democracy vs autocracy is the battle of our time. The longer Manchin, Sinema & McConnell’s obstructionists refuse to break the non-constitutional filibuster, the more they undercut America’s moral authority in the face of autocracies around the world. 

The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival, joined by dozens of partners, our 40+ state coordinating committees, and thousands of faith leaders, has announced a season of non-violent moral direct action July 12 - August 8. We demand that Congress:

1. End the filibuster
2. Pass all provisions of the For the People Act
3. Fully restore the 1965 Voting Rights Act
4. Raise the federal minimum wage to $15/hr

All of this should be done and must be done by August 6th, the anniversary of the signing of the Voting Rights Act in 1965, 56 years ago.
