Democracy Needs Faithful People: The Moral Response to Preventing Election Sabotage
August 22 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm EDT
We at the Kairos Center wanted to share a new series of trainings being offered this month by Faith Organizing within the Election Sabotage Response Network (Faith ESRN). The Kairos Center is proud to support these efforts alongside other faith communities that are concerned about the health of our democracy.
This fall’s election will be unlike any other. The country is deeply divided. Political violence and election denial are on the rise. Christian Nationalism threatens the very core of our democracy. At this historic crossroad for the nation, faith communities are called to stand up and defend the promise of a more inclusive and loving society.
That’s why, as the Faith Organizing within the Election Sabotage Response Network (Faith ESRN), will be offering a series of trainings this summer and fall to prepare our communities for what’s to come.
Join us on August 22nd at 7PM ET as we kick off with our introductory training, “Democracy Needs Faithful People: The Moral Response to Preventing Election Sabotage.” In this session, we will be defining election sabotage, exploring the role of faith leaders in preventing it, and letting you know how you and your community can get involved.
