On Monday, April 4th at The National Press Club, The Poor People’s Campaign along with a United Nations group led by economist Dr. Jeffrey Sachs developed The Poor People’s Pandemic Report, which shows that COVID-19 deaths are disproportionately tied to poverty and low wealth.

Following the Release of The Poor People’s Pandemic Report clergy, partners, and directly impacted people with the Poor People’s Campaign from across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia will gather at Freedom Plaza to dedicate the space for the Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18th, 2022! After Gathering and dedicating Freedom Plaza, we will March to call the nation to a meeting to address the needs of more than 140 million poor and low-income people in America.
