The Case for Asylum in These Less Than United States
(Common Dreams) In late March, I sat in the gallery of the Supreme Court for the first time in my life. Throughout my 30 years of grassroots anti-poverty work, I’ve joined countless protests and vigils outside the Court. In 2018, I was even arrested and held in detention for praying on its palatial steps.

WE KEEP US SAFE! ¡NO ESTÁN SOLOS!
Today communities across the country are taking action to demand communities not cages! Ahead of this national day of action, we held a vigil and rally outside the ICE field offie in San Antonio with hundreds of organizers from across the country. The event was anchored by local community and faith leaders who have been showing up for their neighbors, families, and congregants every day.
