The 2024 Passover Haggadah was written and released by Freedom Shul of the Poor, a spiritual and political community of Jewish leaders dedicated to the movement to end poverty. During Passover, Freedom Shul highlighted the urgency of revolutionary struggle in response to the ongoing siege of Gaza and the genocide of the Palestinian people. Gathering both in the streets to demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire and at Seder tables to honor the revolutionary spirit of Passover, they affirmed that as long as people remain captive to the wickedness of empire, the story of Exodus remains unfinished. Through this Haggadah, Freedom Shul declared their commitment to continue writing the next chapter of Exodus—not merely in words, but through action in the world.
