The policy and research work of Kairos is oriented towards the needs, demands, and struggles of the poor and dispossessed.

Kairos’ policy and research team studies current economic and social conditions, engages frontline struggles of the poor, and conducts research and analysis around the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, militarism and the war economy. It also studies the false narratives that perpetuate these injustices.

Kairos’ policy and research team convenes various experts, including researchers, scholars, public figures, and grassroots organizers, as part of a Kairos Policy & Research Working Group. Members of the Working Group work to advance Kairos’ analysis of current conditions, identify questions coming out of the struggles of the poor, and develop policy prescriptions that can end poverty.
