Freedom Shul is grounded in the experience of the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival (PPC) and this resource packet is centered, in part, around the PPC’s call for the Mass Poor Peoples’ and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls on June 18, 2022. Hopefully it can serve as a resource to orient our many Jewish communities around the call to join the movement to end poverty by assembling and marching together in Washington DC on June 18. It is also meant to be a supplement to all manner of Seders, with new interpretations of old traditions, a re-telling of the Exodus story, and suggested discussion topics and action steps.
